Whittaker Point Restoration and Living Shoreline

This Project in the Town of Oriental in Pamlico County involved environmental restoration of a peninsula of land that was rapidly being lost to erosion. We worked closely with the Town, NC Coastal Federation, Contractors, Permitting Agencies and Funding organizations until completion.
Ocracoke Community Sporting Fields

This project involves creation of a Community Park and Ballfields on possibly the only potential location on Ocracoke Island. Residents of Ocracoke have been in need of a Community Park, especially a baseball/softball/soccer field for the youth, and we are thrilled that this plan has come to fruition. This innovative idea involved utilization of an island of land that was slated for a residential subdivision, only accessible by bridge. Quible cooperated in this collaborative effort with the Ocracoke Youth Center, the private landowners and State and Federal Agencies.
Lake Lanier Dam

Client: Town of Tryon, North Carolina
Quible Project Summary: Quible produced Emergency Action Plans for the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) and NC Department of Environmental Quality (NC DEQ) for the Lake Lanier Dam in Tryon NC. The majority of Lake Lanier is located in South Carolina. The Lake Lanier dam sits essentially on the border of North and South Carolina. Impacts resulting from issues with the dam would have the greatest effect on NC infrastructure and residents. This project presented the unique opportunity coordinate with regulatory agencies from NC and SC and produce an Emergency Action Plan that satisfied both agencies. Quible completed NC DEQ and SC DHEC approved modeling procedures to predict infrastructure and properties that could be affected by water impounded by the dam and completed plans for emergency notification should an emergency arise.
